Hi! I’m Thu

Thu Tran is a multidisciplinary designer based in New York, originally from Saigon, Vietnam. She specializes in brand identity, integrated campaign design, and visual storytelling — with a practice rooted in the belief that great design is equal parts concept, craft, and clarity.

Currently a Graphic & Brand Designer at NBCUniversal's Creative Partnerships team, Thu leads visual direction across campaigns, brand identity systems, pitch presentations, and digital advertising for some of the largest names in media and entertainment. Her work spans the full creative arc: from on-set photography direction to post-production retouching, to the final brand systems that shape how partners show up on Peacock and across NBCU properties. She also leads workload distribution across her design team and mentors emerging designers finding their way into the field.

Thu came to design through fashion — a background that gave her more than an eye for aesthetics. It gave her discipline, business fluency, and an understanding of how creative decisions have to earn their place. That foundation shapes the way she works: she doesn't just make things look right; she makes sure they're doing a job.

Her work has been recognized with a Gold MUSE Award (2025) for Corporate Identity, a Silver MUSE Award for B2B Event Design, a Silver ProMax North America Award for Motion, and a Pressboard Award for Best Branded Content. She holds a BFA in Fashion Merchandising from Academy of Art University and a Certificate in Visual Design from General Assembly, with continued training in motion design through School of Motion.

Thu's design sensibility is shaped by fashion, music, and visual culture — refined, editorial, and always in conversation with what's happening in the world.
