We want the visual assets to truly represent Remi’s quirky and bubbly personality through a fun color palette and textures, while maintaining NBC Universal’s premium and luxe aesthetic simultaneously.
The idea involves around Remi’s Stamp of Approval for whichever product she will be reviewing. Remi’s viral catchphrase “Remi Made Me Do it” was also utilized in the design to appeal to her viewers.
Visual Directions
Key Art
The show’s key art was created with elements that are reminiscent of a luxury shopping spree, including the fabric texture, ribbon, and shopping bag (which were photographed and retouched in house).
This key art is used for any need of Impulse Try with Remi Bader representation on streaming platforms, articles, social medias, etc.
Episode Graphics
Fun and quirky brushstrokes on textured background were utilized in the design process of the official episode graphics. Assets including QR codes for viewers to purchase live, background mortises, bumpers, and lower thirds.
Thoughts
An incredible learning curve for me at NBC Universal, especially when this is the first time I’ve designed for a broadcast project. I really enjoyed the process of forming the show’s art direction, based on Remi’s personally.
Photo retouching over 50 photos, and designing almost every assets for promotion and official broadcast, were definitely the toughest part of this project. However, thanks to the team effort, we managed to deliver everything flawlessly.
